I was too nervous. I broke it so i have to fix it now.

off to true value tomorrow... we'll probably have a outta school snow day anyways.

It was crazy. i hit the pedal to get out of the ice hole and POP pedal went to the floor. pop the hood. and saw the linkage hanging down.

Same here

I had the same problem, but I wire tied mine together and it''s been together for a couple of months. I've gone to soem local hardware stores to find the parts that Jim wrote about and I can't find them anywhere here.

Cummins wants 90.00 for a complete rod with ends over here and will have to order.

As for weather, we're supposed to be getting rain this Saturday........it's february for gosh sakes!!!!!!!!!!!! It never rains here in February. So we go from -50 a week ago to rain on Saturday...

I went to my local sacramento truck center instead of cummins and saw cheaper prices on teh rod. I ended up buying three new metal ball linkage upgrades and gifted two of them to two of my fellow diesel friends and kept the last one for the crew. They cost about 22 USD each.

If all else fails goto Your nearest Catapillar dealer. They have heim joints and ball ends of every size. It will be expensive, It's painted yellow. But they got them.

I found the best source for hardware store items that you can't find locally is www.mcmaster.com Anything from metric threaded rod & nuts (for homebrew injector puller components & exhaust manifold studs etc) to rubber matting (Dodge floor pattern). Their printed catalog is three inches thick.

Do not go to a hardware store and ask for automotive parts , unless you want to be disappointed .

Ya McMaster Carr is a great place for just about anything. I buy allot of my tubing, Urethane, and misc. parts from them. If you are going to buy off the internet there probably is cheaper places to find them but its a start.
