Heater Problems
Heater Problems
Having some heater problems. Hopeing it will be a easy fix. I have done the following.I
1) Cleaned Heater Box out
2) Flushed the Heater Core
3) Replace Thernostat and seal
QUESTIONS:
1) My heater core valve is on the heater line closest to the engine. Not sure if this is correct and maybe it needs to be on the other hose? Or can i just get rid of it completely?
Pevioussly the truck would never go over the first line on the thermostat. Didnt matter them or what i was doing. Now with the changes i have done the temperature gauge got inbewteen the first and second line just idleing. So that is a good improvement but far fom the 120 degree air that Jim lane is getting.
Help!

Well i hear that the valve being on the wrong side doesn't matter when it comes to the heater. It will matter in the summer days though. I took her for a drive today and she got to normal operating temperature "something it has never done" right in the middle of the temperature gauge and once it gets there it very dramatically drops to right above the first line. It just keeps doing this over and over. Any thoughts?
