hear sucking when loosening the filter?

Hey all,

Power is not what it was yesterday. As I loosened the fuel filter I heard sucking. I am thinking this means the system is sucking in air causing a vacuum at the highest point in the system?

It sounds to me like there is a restriction somewhere in the suction line. But we've been through all that before. Don't you have a whole new line and pickup at this point? Perhaps the truck cursed... [coffee]

When I replaced the fuel heater I probably didn't get the O-ring tight enough?? I was able to move the heater back and forth by grasping the plug and tugging on it without much effort. I tightened it down again. This time I didn't use a gasket scraper, I used something similar to a brake sppon that has 4-5" of long handle to give more leverage. I wasn't sure how far to go because I didn't want to brake the fuel heater, but its probably tighter than before. How likely are the fuel heaters to brake?
