head swap weekend
head swap weekend
Sup Guys?
I am in the middle of doing my head swap and I will be doing the piston fuel pump and 3200 spring at the same time. I have searched the forum to no end but does anyone have any tips or tricks for any of the jobs I will be doing today/tommorrow? Any little things to watch for or some thing that might make life a little easier. Thanks.

dont forget to disconnect that little fuel return line on the drivers side rear of head.
The governor spring is much easier to do when the heads off.
Make sure you put the spacer in behind your piston pump. You will have to cut some insulation off the side of the block. you will see, its a fairly cut and dry swap.
good luck

thanks for the heads up frostie. The head is off and I'm in the middle of swapping injectors, freeze plugs, etc. As soon as this new head is ready I will move on to the spring and fuel pump. Should have both of those wrapped up tonight.(if things go smoothly
