Which head?

It seems too good to be true that Alabama Cylinder Head has brand new ones for less than half the Cummins OE equivalent. If someone had their chioce would they steer away from the A C H, for the OEM? Are there other choices out there as far as mildly modified models for durability and performance sake? Is the A C H a junky casting?

I will third that and Dervolksfuhrer will forth it. For the loaded head ready to go it sounds like a smoken deal.

I didn't mean to kinda repost/Hijack, but I gotta know if the Alabama model has been used by someone here. For the money it is smokkin, but if they are that inexpensive I am a little leary on quality. What is the going price on a reputable brand? Who offers heads that are brand new, loaded and upgraded. No one really answered dervulksfurher. Even the repair cost associated with that post was higher than the A C H model.

A TPS from cummins of fort wayne for my 03 was $409. I called my local Dodge dealer, $510. Then I looked on Ebay and found one that came from a dodge dealer for a buy it now of $245. Buy the thing and swap out the springs for some 60#er's and roll. For that much savings you can afford to practice a little. Earlier you said time wasn't an issue. LOL
