Have some parts laying around, worth installing?
I have a new intake from a 07' Cummins that has a larger inlet than the first gen and a intercooler from a 99' Cummins. I've had these things for several years sitting in the garage. Are either of them worth installing? I was thinking about porting and cleaning up the new intake, it should flow more right? As far as the 2nd gen IC. I dont mind a little work, but dont want to spend an entire day cutting and fitting for a minimum difference.
See if you can swap that IC for a 7.3 Powerstroke IC. It fits better and has a little more core area.
The 3rd gen intake sucks, it's necked down had around the bolts. You are better off with a 2nd gen 24 valve unit or better yet a set of CoolerTubes.
