I read that they are Delphi pumps.

Yup I have had that on my crewcab since I bought it back in 2010.....probably over 50K miles so far. Never had a gauge hooked up so don't know what kind of fuel pressure I have been running....but it has always started and ran well.

Thanks Brian. It's hard to beat the price and good to know you have had good luck with it. I am a bit worried about my 200,000 mile 28 year old diaphragm pump

How ya liking the new place? We sure are looking forward to moving out of this goofy state. Too many weirdos.

I paid like $80 shipped when I bought my kit....what are they asking for it today?

Lovin it up here...away from everything! Wouldn't go back to the densely populated area ever again.

$156 about double. still the cheapest kit I know of.

Glad you like it up there. the farther you can get from densely populated areas the better.

you can piece together the kit on your own for less. small parts from cumminspartsdirect.com and the pump from eBay. been running mine for about 2 years now.

The kit from The hungry diesel claims to flow 25% more fuel then other HVLP piston lift pumps. I don't know what you have for mods but just throwing that out there

It uses a p-pump style lift pump, which has a larger diameter piston, and a custom spring for the appropriate delivery pressure.

Mark, you could easily fabricate the spacer plate yourself, or possibly find a second gen heater bracket (which incorporates the spacer plate) at a pick & pull for less than buying new. Back in the day I measured the plate at 3/16 of an inch. It is not a precision part. On the other hand, back in the day, it was only $10 from cummins . . . the expensive part as I recall was the new line from the pump to the filter.

That's what I thought about the Hungry Diesel pump. Thanks for the thickness of the spacer. I think Justin used that pump with a lighter? spring from Fastenall. and god around 15psi.

yep. the fastenal spring will give you 12psi out of the package in any piston pump. but I stretched it out until I was running around 15-16 psi. I can suck it down to about 12psi under WOT.

and because their will be skeptics of this technique, i've been running it this way for about 2 years with no drop in PSI.

Good day, Mark:

I've run a few delphi pumps over the years on various rigs from OFI, no issues at all. That said, originally I used the cummins HVLP pump but this was about 10 years ago, they don't offer them any longer. It looks the same as the P pump one.

I went with Hungry Diesel's kit this time around. I also felt good ordering parts from him as he offers GREAT prices on drop-shipped ISSPRO products as well.

I'm running a THD kit on my 93 and according to my gauge it's 9psi at idle/low rpm and 4-5 WOT. I also pieced a setup together from ebay that'll go on the RC I'm building... but thats a long term project.

Stu
