Guess I need to trade for a Ford

Went and treated the ol' girl to a new set of tires a few days ago. Just walked past her and she has piddled on the floor. Water pump leaking after only 240,000 miles. Guess I know what I will be doing on my Sunday.

You bet I am! There is a 95 Ford and a 96 Chev Dually here for sale, the Chev is 3500.00 and the Ford 5000.00, that tells me what I need to know. I wouldn't sell mine for anything near that. She still hauls me, the wife, the dog, the cat and our fithwheel all over the country every summer and never complains so as long as that is the case I guess they will have to bury me in it.

Budget your time liberally. make sure you've cleared the decks properly so as to accomplish the job without any hurry or inconvenience. I'm thinking half an hour ought to be about right...
cheers,
Douglas

With thoughts like that, what you really need is a shrink.

A Ford wouldn't be so bad...if it were a 1967 427 Shelby ac cobra, then you could buy about 1000 Cummins......Mark

What's wrong with a Ford? I drove one for a couple years with a 300 Cummins and a 13 speed RoadRanger. 80,000 pounds rules the road.

Well the water pump was a breeze but I decided to replace all the hoses and the heater control valve while I was at it so it took all afternoon. When I was a little less long in the tooth I could have acomplished it in a lot less time and the radiation treatments for my cancer really zaps my energy so I am a little slower. Lucky my son is home from college right now so I had help. She is all good now with fresh anti-freeze and all so I am good for a while I hope.
