Ground issue fixed

I know posts have been made about this before, but I wanted to share the ground issue and fix I did.
My instrument cluster lights, and all dash lights would flicker on and off while driving.
plow lights and back-up plow lights also flashed on and off. The truck actually died a couple times while plowing.
my fix was I added a 00 ground cable from the block to the frame. The battery is grounded to the block also. I cleaned the chassis ground to the core support and added a 10ga ground wire from it to the battery. I also ran a 10ga ground wire from the metal dash to the block.
So far all is good and these have fixed my issues until next time.
Hope this info can help someone else.

I've made similar additions to vehicles I've owned for about 50 years, and managed to avoid a lot of the commonly found problems......Ben

Good info.

If you wanted to go crazy (not like I know anyone who did this other than myself and Jim Lane), you could add another ground wire from the alternator mount bracket to the battery / block or main hub as well. This guarantees the alternator being properly grounded should the mount become corroded over time.

But that's just bugs bunny wabbit crazy, no doubt.
