Goodies are on the way.

Well I dug into my IP today and finnished resealing it. I also replaced a few things but nothing special. For tomorrow I'll be installing a Holly Black 14psi pump, larger remote fuel filter, new 3/8" lines, new fittings to get rid of all the block stuff and LP.

Monday will be the day I fit in the 2nd gen IC and redo the intake plate. Mike from HotRodDiesels made an awesome intake and I'm going to try my hand at something simular.

Also on order is a new grille, new lights, new trim. Once those are on it will be street legal again. YEA...........

From that point I cant decide on getting the injectors, clutch, and Aurora 3000 turbo or doing paint and body first and performance second. Help me out there, what should I do? I'm just a poor oil patch guy so I cant do both at once.

Make it fast first, maaco paintjob can go a long ways. i bet theyd only charge you 1200 to paint that truck and fill little dents here and there.

First thing id do is big clutch/built auto tranny so your not limping it around with a aurora turbo and EDM's.

What do you have planned in the way of head work?

I dont think I'll need head work, I'm only shooting for around 450whp. I will be adding head studs though and a custom exhaust header.

I'd prefer a built auto but find a place to get one under $5k, so a good clutch is looking good right now.

I did some research for ya man, heres a link, look at the 47rh trans and click "details" http://www.goerend.com/internalparts.php

You can get a fully built 47RH (94-95) trans with a valve body and 3 disk billet converter for 3500$ from Dave Goerend.

My dad has goerend stuff in his 2005 and the service of this guy is absolutely astonishing, hes such a good guy and puts out good products.

Add the flex plate and starter and I'm back over $5k

I may just stick with the 5 speed for the next few months and bit the bullit with the $5k auto swap.

I don't know which way you are planning on mounting your 2nd gen IC..But I made it where my tanks were on top and it worked out sweet... I did have to make a new battery tray... But other than that it worked awesome... My pipes flow real good, not any kinks at all.. some pics of how I did mine... let me know if you need some more if your interested in doing it this way

yes definatly more pics. That way looks much easier than how I was thinking. How does it fit behind the grille? I know a guy running for 10.50's in the 1/4 with his stock IC and even runs AC still, so the 2nd gen is big enough for me.

Besides, the first gen IC might just be a perfect fit in my Blazer. lol
