Goodbye First Gen

Well Guys I sold the first gen last week, it was time for an upgrade, I enjoyed it for a lil over a year and she was good to me. I found a 2011 Silverado 3500HD Duramax Diesel Dually Ext Cab Longbed with 5800 miles on it and a one owner truck for $36,800.00. I do have some parts that I did not install and will be listing those for sale on here soon.

I'm getting out of a 1st gen too, as a daily driver at least. I'll always have my truck but I'm going to look at the new Dodge Dart's today and hopefully I'll have a little 1.4L turbocharged sedan as my new daily driver.

Nothing wrong with the Duramax. I find them easy to tow.

I will always have a soft spot for the Cummins, I have had 2 and this is my second Duramax, I like them both and they have both been good to me in the past. I did look at the Dodge/Ram and none of the local dealers had anything that interested me and I did not want to go out of state to do a deal, this one was close to home so I went with it.

Good mileage; I'm staying around 40 mpg avg-gets better in the hotter weather. Good driving car, too.

Diesel cruze should be on the lot in a few weeks. As soon as I get to drive one after they hit the lot. Talking to the engineer he claimed the gobal 2 system is on it but I hope the ECM can be cracked. If so I think I will be driving one soon. Just need to tune out the cow **** and injection rates, should be able to net some good miles out of it.

Never the less sorry to hear you moved on, but I know the choice was justified in your mind. Hope the new truck does you well. And you can pm me with problems. I know my way around them there duramax's, I love them.....keep my bank account full.

Like the "Dark side" of Dodge, chevy frames crack as well, especially when put under the load of a plow.

Pay particular attention to the area where the frame mounts are where the upper control arm bolts into....

Ha ha too funny but so true. We had 2 duramax company trucks for a year. They were ok as cars but puked transmissions out like crazy. They keep the tow trucks busy.
