Good score today.....
Well it all came about a couple weeks ago. I finally got tired of listening to my "oiless" air compressor...aka "The Compressor of Hate!!" Running in the shop. Worst purchase I think I have ever made.
Anyway so I decided I needed a small piston driven air compressor. SO I hit craigslist and started searching. Finally found an old Sears Compressor - twin cylinder with a 1HP 115/230Vmotor. Went to go check it out and when I arrived in my old crewcab the seller, and older Gent, started in on how he had a nice 92 D350 dually...blah blah. We chatted for a while and I eventually bought the compressor.
Just before I left he mentioned a damaged tailgate he still had. I didn't think anything of it right away and I left. Few days later I got to thinking about what he said and so I e-mailed him and asked if he was interested in selling it.
He got back to me and said yes and also had some diff parts. That brings me to today.
So I go over to his place to check out the parts. The tailgate was FUBAR'D....he had parked the truck under the 5th wheel trailer, then drove out leaving the tailgate up....Doooh!! And the diff parts turned out to be a near new 3.54 ring and pinion for the 92 D70 diff. Little dickering and I got everything for $125!! He also tossed in a couple 73-93 dodge ram Hayes manuals.

The tailgate must have been off since almost new...shame it met it's end this way. But I got a mint set of tailgate lights and wiring, latch and mechanisms, and the trim panel is pretty nice too....survived the bend no problem.
And the 3.54 ring and pinion is just what I needed. I have a spare 3.54 D70 axle I was going to hold onto in case I did not like the 4.10's from the donor 93 I'm using for the 4x4 conversion. So now I can sell this LSD D70 diff to help fund the conversion.....I'm pretty happy!!

Forgot to mention that the 3.54 gears were removed when the truck was almost new. The original owner wanted a bit more grunt for towing so had the original gears swapped for 4.10's.
Seems like a lucky week.
I found a guy who has been buying NOS Mopar parts for the last 30+ years. He just so happen to have the one (and only one) listed nationwide in the mopar databases of the rear window seal for my brick. It's the OEM part, so it won't work with anything but the OEM window. That forces me to restore / clean up my original window, but then again, I'm ok with that.
I figured what the heck, why not replace it after I have my truck re-sprayed.

Parts are out there, but it just takes a while to find them.

Last weekend I hit the local U-pull yard and scored a complete hydroboost setup from a 92 Chevy 3500.
In the process I spotted a 92 Canyon Sport, from which I removed the power mirrors, clock spring, cruise control switches, power window and lock buttons and driver door handle.
All above parts for $65

While I was at NAPA yesterday, a kid came in needing a battery for a 92 Dodge 1/2 ton. I hauled him to the shop where it was parked with a bad battery. Other than the typical paint issues, it looked good. Even had "DODGE" across the grill. I told him if he decides not to fix the motor, to get on here and advertise it for sale. Club cab long bed, with a cap on it. It's got a misfire, he gave $600 for it, and the guy he had look at it says he thinks the problem is the crankshaft (for a misfire???)
