Are there any benefits to a late G360 case vs an earlier version? Is one stronger than the other?

The later cases have more webbing by the reverse gear which makes it stronger.

I appreciate the info. Any thoughts as to how much stronger? My trucks only making maybe 200hp and 525tq.

So now I see 3 different cases. Note the external webbing on all 3.

i have never broke a case. just cooked bearings towing at high HP. it will put it in 5th so i ran it.
top case in your pics is the best one.

Ive not broke a case in 1.186 million miles either, not cooked a bearing so far. Then again Ive been running a cooler and 50wt synthetic gear oil for about 1 million of those miles. Usually I just wear the trans out. Unfortunately the case i have is the middle one. Guess Ill see how it runs after the rebuild. Then Ill freshen up the trans thats in it now which is the later case.
