Getrag and 3.07's

Just bought another 1990 W250 expressly for the trans and related parts to replace the 727 in my truck. I was wondering if anyone else had this done this swap and left the 3.07's in the axles?? I can't imagine it would be that noticable, a friend of mine has a '91 W350 w/3.55's and it seems 1st is almost useless expect for real slow starts. I tow often enough to do the gear swap later but if it works that would save some greenbacks.

There are several people who have swapped 3.07 rears into later model trucks to get lower RPM on the highway. Unless you do real heavy towing, I would leave the 3.07's alone. If you need a little more oomph to get going, turn the pump up a little.
