gear ratio in 90
gear ratio in 90
What gear ratios were offered in a 1990 D-250 SRW? My sticker under the hood is gone and I was just wondering because I have full throttle travel, new lift pump and filter and cant do over 82 with a tailwind. I'm guessing it has 4:10's.
There's a guy down the road that has a 90 and he says it has 4,10's in a 250 with a 727.
I have a 91 with 307's and it still woulden't go that fast so.....
I would jack up the rear end, block the front wheels securely, put the trans in neutral and rotate the wheels and count the number of turns of the driveshaft.
Either that or go to a dealer with your vin and get a buildsheet.
There is also a plate of codes under the window wipers besel on the passenger side that you can just see on my truck, not sure if that'll help at the dealer any...
Hope that helps

I have the same setup and swore for years that I had 4.10 gears...but as information evolves around here...I have 3.07 gears.
Wild isn't it? You would think that the truck would wind out alot further with 3.07 gears!
