gauges (clean install)

i want four gauges however placement seems to be an issue. i have seen the two pod column mounts. but as i said i need four gauges. tack for monitoring shift points and fuel economy at x rpm. trans temp to monitor fluid condition and for trans safety. egt and boost. seems that space for clean and monitor-able positions is some what lacking... i don't want dash or steering column mounting ... has any one found a four pod full column mount? or what other options are there
thanks Ryan

you can fit 3 on the column, however you have to be pretty tall to read the top one. use a double pod and a single pod, some trimming is neccesary. you could also replace the message center with 3 and then put the 3rd on the column... there are ways to do it, it's gonna be hard to meet all your restrictions though.

I think this should work the the first gens. Ive seen another 1st gen on here that had this and it worked and looked great. I just dont remember where I saw the post.

What Im planning on doing for my 93 is this. Have the two pillar pods for EGT and boost. 2-3" tach on top of the dash and have either a new, numbered, oil pressure guage or trans temp on top of the steering colum. Thats my plan...as soon as I get some cash.

you can not fit 4 on the pillar only 3 will fit there is a tripple pillar mount that JCW sells it is a universal type but the shape of it is just about like a first gen pillar to start will you just have to heat it up a lil with a blow dryer heat gun or you can microwave if to get the curve perfict it mounts with screws and has a lil cap that covers them there is a couple of places that make the tripple pillar mount but none that i have found just for the first gen dodge i will try to get the part # for you and post it

See my post. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=146587
If you mounted the single above the double on the A pillar with the column mount that would give you a nice clean 4 gauge setup.

Apprentice, do you see Admoparman's dual guage pod on the A column? that pod will work on top of the trim that runs above the door.Imagine this: fuel and oil pressure guages on the top. Trans, pyro, and boost on the A-pillar, and a tach on the steering column. Yeah, baby! 5 areas to monitor your truck's vitals! The line of sight will suit anyone, big and tall, short and round. The wiring for above the door will run down behind the A-pillar with the rest of the 3 guage wiring. Your wife will not only be flabbergasted, so will your local diesel homies! If you all have interest in my system, feel free to PM me for details.

Hey man, I would roll with admoparman says about the three pillar mount, but I would get this gauge

http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=WM-CG-8

it is a combo egt and boost. A good bud of mine has this one and he swears by it. I plan on getting it too... Not as high speed as you are though... I am going to roll with the egt and boost and call it a day.... Hope you like it...

You have to be careful what you mount in the column moutns (FWIW- the 2nd gen steering column mounts fit tilt 1stGens).

I have my pyro and boost on the pillar; tach on the dash next to them, then fuel pressure where the ashtry used to be.

I also didn't think there was a lot of room for a few gauges, so I fabricated my own mount....

I gave up my ashtray... but so what. Extreme left is a trailer-brake controller, then the gauge mount contains trans temp, pyro, boost, 12 VDC outlet, and dual 110 VAC outlet (from inverter mounted in engine compartment). Gauge mount is welded and machined aluminum painted black.
