fuel tank

fuel tank

ok well what my question is that i want to know how many gallons my 91.5 and my 93 fuel tanks are. i saw on the sticky they are 30 but my parts truck is a 89 and that tanks is different as far as shorter now i dont know if the volume is the same still or not thanks

All diesels have the 30 gallon tank from the factory. Some people have put in a 22 gallon in its place if they had 1 available to replace the standard 30. The 22 gallon was standard in the 3.9 and 5.2 gasser trucks. The 5.9 gasser as well as the cummins had the 30. Thats the way my 89 factory service manual breaks down the tank specs.

The capacity should be stamped on the bottom of the tank.
