fuel system keeps loosing prime???????????????

every time my truck sits for a few hours i have to crack the fuel line and prime it back up. what could cause this? bad LP? Kinda odd too is my IP quit leaking too. it used to drip slightly from the AFC, but now nothing.

it sounds like you have an air leak ... not too uncommon, did you change anything recently? filter , pump etc.?
a common place for them to suck air is around the fuel heater, right above the filter. its easy to loosen it when changing the filter.
check all the fittings and connections on teh lines and such, inspect your hoses, I seem to recall that folks have had leaks develop in the return line above the tank.
Do you have a Fp gauge installed?

no FP gauge. how would a return line leak cause drainback?

Could be anywhere. Fuel heater seal or any of the fuel line connections all the way back to the tank. Pressurize the tank lightly and look for drips to find your air leak.

A bad diaphragm lift-pump will also cause this.

good luck, you do have a air leak some were it could be anywer from you pickup to you injectors

how does the truck run does it idle ruff will it stall if you leave it for awhile
