fuel pin resealed and 366 spring installed...

well i resealed the fuel pin as per Jim Lane's sticky article and a couple of phone conversations with him [laugh]. i big thanks goes out to him for all the help. it was easier than i was expecting, i just wasn't looking forward to it truthfully. i ended up having to do it again today. what happened when i installed the new o-ring on the pin was that it didn't seat in the recess or I didn't seat it in the recess like i should have. in turn, the plug pinched part of it but luckily didn't tear any chunks of it off and allowed even more fuel to leak passed it and out of the vent tube. so much that it was a steady stream [nonono]. anyway, i was able to complete the task in half the time today than it took me to do it yesterday (mind you, it was my first time). i know most of you know already, but this 3200 spring REALLY wakes up these trucks! i can easily reach 22psi and i wasn't even at WOT yet. the fuel screw hasn't even been turned in. my grandpa seems to think he put 3/4 of a turn on it years ago but with his recollection of things and not keeping records of maintenance, i don't think he actually did. anyhow, one thing i will advise for anyone needing to do this reseal is to make sure you seat the o-ring in place in that recess!! i simply used a very small, long, skinny and dull flat head screw driver and applied just enough pressure that i could feel the o-ring slip into place and where it should be. again, a HUGE thanks goes out to Mr. Jim Lane and everyone else who gave some advice or additional input to this project. here's just a few pictures from the tear down.
