Fuel pin grind
Fuel pin grind
Well, I finally broke out the dremel Saturday and started grinding on my fuel pin. I read all the old threads, looked at pictures and took my time. I didn't go real aggressive with it. Put it all back together and test drove it yesterday. Well, it hangs on the 2-3 shift at WOT, just like it did when I installed my 366 spring. The only other thing I did while I was in there was adjust my idle up a little. I keep having to adjust my high idle screw in to compensate for the shift issue and I feel like now I don't have all the travel on my throttle that I should have. It's like you make an adjustment and have to take part of it away to make it shift right. 2 steps forward and one step back. Anyone else have this issue? Why would grinding the fuel pin cause that? Or do you think there is something else going on? Thanks guys.

I'm thinking about taking my trusty dremel and grinding a little bit off the notch in the tv cable linkage so I can get a little more adjustment out of it. Two questions: (1) What problems could this potentially cause and (2) Are there any other adjustments that can be made to the transmission externally? I'm going to do the band adjustment next.
