One thing I've learned over the years of playing around with projects is if you dont set a goal completion date then they never seem to get done. Well I have found mine for the 92'. On OCT 9 in Crandall,TX they are having the NADM Texas Diesel Roundup. Its a day full of diesel drag racing and sled pulling. I'm setting my sights on competing there. I think as long as the getrag holds together with some dyno time and some 1/8 mile track time to get my launch worked out then I should do pretty well in the 1/4 mile races that day. The real learning curve is going to come with the sled pull. For one, It'll be my first time pulling a sled, and two I bet I'm the only 2wd that hooks up to it. LOL. My plan of attack there will be air the air shocks up to get the hitch hieght at the max allowed and fab up some hard bars that are removable to lock the rear end in place. Then add weight to the bed till I am close to the what ever the weight limit is. From there its all up to the SBDD and 3rd gear to get the tires moving good I guess.

I really dont have too much left on the truck before I'm ready to get it back on the road and get it on the dyno. From there my time will be spent at Houston Motorsports Park 1/8 mile to get my launch worked out, and first friday of the month Houston Raceway Park 1/4 mile for diesel night hosted by HotRodDiesels, Hellman Performance, and someone else I can't remember. LOL

Last I spoke with Mike at HotRodDiesels he doesnt see me hitting high 12's with the getrag unless I'm making close to 700hp???? Call me hard headed but if there are much heavier trucks on here running 13.0-13.3's with a getrag then why wouldnt I hit a 12.90 with slicks and less weight?
