I still think I could make the system for under $100 if I had the time to sit down and look at what I need. Have a goog mig welder and the tools to do it, just need the time and money. But its nice to know their are other options.

Ya, same thing. Just a 4" mandrel bend peice is $20 or more and it just cost me close to $30 for a 3ft straight piece of 4" pipe.

You'll need at least 7 bends for a 2wd truck. 2 for the DP, 4 for going over the axle, and 1 for the tail pipe. If you need to go around your transfer case you'll need 3 or 4 45* or 30* bends as well. That alone is over $150-$200 and you have not bought the straight pipe yet. Plus, you'll have to source an adapter to Bolt on to your turbo, and the cheapest I've seen those is $40. Plus you'll need a few strap connectors cause it can't all be 1 peice. And those are usually $10 for the good ones as well.

I was happy to pick up a 4" muffler with 4 45* bends and a few pieces of straight piping for $50. Those connections are costly.

And Stans is the most expensive of all 3 sources to whoever decided they were going with them, just an FYI.

Stan's take is this (since I have talked to him a couple of times in the last few weeks. He was under the impression that he made the only 4" turbo back for first Gens. I told him about Source Automotive's setup and then he said that he machines the piece that fits in the turbo and it lasts forever instead of just rolling the aluminum pipe. I can see paying a little more for that. He also says that the Donaldson muffler he uses is the best muffler for a 4" setup and that it flows better that 5" mufflers. I can see paying a little more for that if it's true. To have his shipped to me it is $583 for the exhaust and $60 to SoCal. $643 bucks. This new one seems to be the best of all worlds. They too machine the flange for the down pipe into the turbo. Nice! It is only $463 with free shipping with a muffler. Not a Donaldson but w/muffler. Almost $200 cheaper. That's what interests me.

Nice, looks like the same manufacturer of what I posted (FLO PRO), it's just a retailer selling it cheaper. Thanks!

Nice find on the Flo-Pro exhaust systems and the pricing isn't bad. Now all we need to find is a place that sells an HX40 1st GEN downpipe for a good price instead of at or around $200.

I work at a diesel shop, and have snagged some of the straight pipes and bends that were replaced, but are still usable. And I have been looking on www.ryderfleetproducts.com and with the employee discount the prices aren't to bad. Also I plan on going out in front of the rear tires, or doing a single stack. Both save quite a few bends and are fine for a work truck. The way I see it pretty stuff doesn't help it pull a trailer.
