Finally!!
Finally!!
FINALLY! Well after about a month of trying to get ahold of Dave over at Goerend, I finally spoke to him this morning. I'm going to be swapping out my 518 for the 47rh (completely built by Goerend). I've had the truck almost 2 years now, the entire time researching and saving to fix up my tranny so when i do start adding power it gets to the wheels. CANT WAIT!

I think a full rebuilt goerend 47rh is $3500 with NO converter and NO billet, just rebuilt/improved trans with a VB.
Put $1000 on top of $3500 and then a good flexplate and your at alot!

well not that i want to think about it, but for the transmission alone $4050, and thats with a billet imput shaft. new starter - $150 SFI steel Flexplate - $145 and spent $600 for a 47rh and adapter plate off a 95.
wow! im so glad i rebuilt my 47rh myself
cost wise it was super cheap, i thought about a shop doing it but figured i rebuilt my 727 so why not a 47rh
dynoed 1165tq and its still tight shifts hard and dont slip
sorry whitebeast not trying to defuse your joy
dave builds a tight tranny from everyone i talked to. Good luck with the new trans
they are so much better than 727s and a518s
thats just my opinion though not bashing you non lock tc guys

I thought about doing it myself but decided I'd be better off letting the professional deal with it. I'd always be worried about something going wrong if i did it myself, as far as rebuilding it neway. Thought if i'm gonna do something might as well go all out and do it right.
