You can order a FSM through Geno's I believe. Or search on E-bay for an original copy. I actually lucked out and found one on craigslist for $25!

Got one for my '92 from Rockauto. Cheaper than anywhere else.

No problem! IIRC you have to look up year make model and it's under "literature". I think I paid $80 shipped. $80 well spent.

35 bucks on CD, and before you discount it, you can go to the relevant section, print off those pages, and take it right to your truck without worrying about getting it greasy or torn. You can also download it to a USB stick and keep it with you on the road.............. I have both for my 97, and 99 percent of the time I use the CD version.

I am just the opposite. I like the book. I don't have a printer, hardly ever use my cell phone and don't own a USB stick, or know here to stick it.
The FSM book I can read up on what I am working on and leave it open to the page I need on the work counter while I am working. Worth having a copy, regardless of how you prefer accessing the info.

And for those reading this, that own a 1991.5 with the intercooled set up, if you do buy a book or CD, jump right to the 1992 model year.
That 1991.5 I just picked up came with a manual, dated 1991, and the section on Turbos, exhaust and intake are all for the non intercooled trucks. I'm sure the transmission sections will be different, also.

When I bought my first one for my 93, I used the information that is at the back of the small manual that came with the truck, that fits in the glove box. There's info there that tells you where to order one. At the time, I had never heard of Geno's Garage.
Anyway, that company shipped out the manual, $85 I recall, and as I skimmed thru the different sections, I saw that it was missing pages, a lot of pages, in the cooling section. It didn't even have the section that applied to the diesels. Flipping the pages, next thing I'm in the clutch section, and that too was missing a few pages. I notified that company, told them about it, and another manual was sent out. They did not want the first one sent back. So, basically, I have two, and the incomplete one is the one that gets all the grease marks on it, LOL.
One of these days I'll get the CD version. I see the value in having that downloaded onto a lap top or USB stick as Pat mentioned, especially if I'm out of town.
Hey, Oliver, don't feel bad....you don't even want to know what I thought "blue tooth" was when I first heard the term. Thought it was a dental related mishap. No joke.

I have the Geno's CD version for the 1989 on CD. I wonder about the copyright though. I also like to print out the relevant pages for use on the bench or in the truck. A person could also print the entire manual on a double-sided printer and bind it in a loose leaf binder. Then when pages get greasy they can be reprinted and replaced.

I also have a 1992 CD version that another member was kind enough to copy and send to me.

I bought a CD manual for my 89 Case skid steer. Not bad, but the scanning of the pages is a bit blurry. Had not thought of double sided printing and then put in a binder....might do that.

I don't mind a little grease on my manuals! I do like the idea of an easily transportable (memory stick) version. I might pick one up on CD.

That's crazy. Giving stuff away for free. Only a Jack monkey would do that.
