Fender Flair Paint Suggestions
Anyone have any experience painting the black factory fender flairs? My rear flairs are showing some yellow under the flaking black, and I wanted to freshen them up. Just wondering what sort of paint would work best.

Mine have the same chips. I haven't done anything yet but here are my thoughts. I would imagine it would require an automotive paint with a flex agent additive to prevent cracking. Same stuff you use when painting one of the new style plastic bumpers. I think the bumper chip filler would also work.

i painted mine with that spray on bedliner stuff, from duplicolor, turned out really good and did not peal.

You need to get Crest satin black bumper coat. We sell it at the shop I work at, and I'm sure many other good parts stores carry it. I painted my top bumper plastic on my '97 (it was faded out to light grey like all of them are) and it looks like new. Its especially for plastic. Hope this helps.

i'd just sand it a little, wipe it clean with your paint thinner of choice and spray it with some crylon paint.
