fan/shroud solutions

so on my 93 dodge the fan shroud is missing, and my fan has alot of play so im guessing its on the way out. wondering if any of you guys have found an alternative to buying a new dodge fan? i hear the electric fans dont work very well. anyone have any ideas?

For about 400, Flexi-Lite makes a complete shroud, dual electric fan kit with temp switches, that eliminates the engine fan.
They do work very well, and is a direct fit, very little or no modification.
Kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I have been running my 6bt ramcharger for a year now with no fan or shroud. I am only pushing around about 5300# and the only thing I ever tow with it is the sled and that only lasts about 7 seconds. In town, my factory 1991 temp guage never gets above the middle of normal. even when idling for long periods. Last summer I ran a two hour road trip in 95* weather and the needle went about 3/4 of the way up the normal bracket.

That being said, I would never tow without the fan and shroud. I may be foolish, but not stupid.
