Question Factory optioned seatbelt extenders (for us fat people)

Ok,

I read in an old TDR article that someone was able to get a factory optioned seatbelt extender for their 1st gen club cab pickup. I think this extender gives you an additional 6 inches or so. I decided to call my local Dodge dealer and find out. Looks like they do make it: part#4364849 @ $67.20 Does anyone else know what I'm talking about or has one? Any other sources in finding one?

Shoot.........thats what I thought. I called yesterday and was quoted the $67.20 and also had to be ordered. What do these extenders look like? Do you have a pic you can post?

I'm using one of these, and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than what you're finding: http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/...atalogId=10101

Easy install and made all the difference in how much I love my truck!

I'm using them to extend the seatbelts after I put in a 60/40 bucket seat/console setup, since the seatbelt mounting points didn't line up with where the seat belts would feed up through the seats and the buckles ended up being difficult to reach.

The added benefit is that now the shoulder belt doesn't cut into my neck.

I thought dodge was giving a pair to each vin for free because they are a safety item. If someone hasn't already claimed a set for your truck you should be able to get them for free I do believe

I think time has simply expired on these "freebie" seatbelt extenders. Like I said, called the local dealership and asked..........$67. and must be ordered in. Anyone else use these optioned belts on their 1st gen?
