Exhaust brake leaksssssssssssssssssssss
Exhaust brake leaksssssssssssssssssssss
Somehow I've destroyed a #6 exhaust manifold gasket. So I'm going to remove the stainless socket head cap screws that came with the kit, and go with some studs from Geno's when I replace the gaskets.
But when I turn on the exhaust brake there's leaks around the v-band, and from the S300...that flat bolt-on plate that must hide the wastegate mechanism.
My Pacbrake is located "remotely" behind the transmission cross member, so there's a few more opportunities for leaks. Just wondering if anyone has solved some leak problems that I might benefit from, once I start taking the beasty apart.
Thanks!
Update: Turns out the lower cap screw is gone, so it must have loosened up itself and dropped out on the road someplace at some point. From reading there's some debate about stainless bolts, so maybe the studs from Geno's will work better anyways. But the gasket may be intact still, and I just need to tighten things up again. We'll see.
