I pulled the motor and tranny together. It was 1400 pounds as a pair.

I would just be real careful. My cousin put extensions on the legs of his so that they were farther under the truck. The dumb thing just tipped forward when we tried to jack it up. (motor only)

my cummins shop manual says a dry weight of 880lbs "minus the flywheel and electrics." the flywheel is around 55lbs and i don't know just what they mean by "electrics."

I believe that 880 may not include the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, starter, alternator, alternator brackets & mounting (no upper water outlet), no fan and possibly no fan mounting or power steering, vacuum pump or air compressor. In other words the basic engine no lube or residual coolant and before it becomes accessorized for specific use in a Dodge pick up, or a Ford medium duty chassis or even an air compressor.
