Hey all,

well i was installing my new isspro elec. fuel pressure guage, and when i was installing it i blew 3 fuses. I later figured out i connected the wires in the connector touching. Thats why i blew the fueses. Well i replaced all my fuses and everything and now my dash pannel is all edit.

When i turn the key on the lights come on. When i leave the key off and pull the light switch it turns the lights and the radio on. I'm all kinds of confused guys.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Man sorry to hear about your situation. Sounds like you have some melted wires or possibly something else touching each other in your fuse panel. Honestly this is the main reason most guys leave electronics alone. These harnesses are approaching 20yrs old. The dually my dad bought back in the summer had wiring issues. Mostly do to the owner! He installed a keyless entry. In the process he shorted the wire to the door jam switch. This in turn shorted several wires in the headlight switch and associated wires. He used 2 aftermarket switches for the headlights and running lights. Very ugly setup. Not to mention he put them on a plate in front of the AC duct blocking it up. I did some yard hoping and found a 93 d150. Cut all the light wires before they intered the main body of the harness. And one wire at a time wired that plug into my dads truck harness! You need to start with were you were!!! Find out what the 3 links that touched and go threw what they go to. Its going to take time and patients. Good luck.

You cant get mad at other members for not chiming in. I am a electric forklift mechanic. I can have 5 Crown reach trucks that have the same problem and have 5 different reasons why its doing it! Thats the hardest problem with electronics. People can only tell you obvious stuff. No one wants to sound like a no it all or sound like they are talking down to you. You have to find a wiring schematic, and be patient. You will figure it out. When you do, post it. Your hard work will help out others in the future.

It sounds like you have a ground problem, stuff is grounding through the lights.
