elbow in intake side of turbo
elbow in intake side of turbo
Found out while putting new boost boots on that the thing is cracked. The ring around the top is almost all the way broken off.
It is the 90 degree elbow that connects to the turbo with a clamp and o-ring, then the intercoler duct attaches to the other side.
I can't quite make out the part# on it due to the roughness of the casting. Trying to get one from cummins if possible.
Anybody know the name, part#, or something about where to get one? Anybody got a good one laying around?

Somebody tried to JB-weld it already once and that has broken loose. I don't know what caused it to break, was that way when I took it appart. Always something huh. ...
It is in a pretty hard to fix area, but who knows. I don't know where I could get it welded around here if it is aluminum Need to stick a magnet on it and see if it is aluminum or cast, but seems aluminum.
It is in a tough area to work with. Has the o-ring grove on one side and the clamp goes around the outside.
Cummins parts guy called back and he doesn't think it is a cummins part, dodge is no help of course
Need to get this fixed soon.

Finally got a good part number and ordered one. For anybody else searching
air pipe# 3918800
o-ring 3919852
clamp 3069053
My part number was very hard to read and not cast very well. So it took quite a bit of trying and research to finnaly find it.

Reliablegoods showed 2 on their website, but they emailed me back saying that they were out of stock.
Bought one from somebody, wrong one and sent back
called up cummins, said it is a good number. Still trying to track one down saying they haven't found one in stock any where yet.
I rigged up a simple boost guage and took it for a drive. Must not be leaking terribly bad, I was able to get arond 18psi out of it with my foot on the floor at 80. Or is that low?
The local hardware store had a nice 0-30psi guage, couple of brass hose barbs and clamps, and a lenght of vaccum hose. Just ran it out from under the hood and in the window for a test drive.
