EGT temp question

I had the truck running at an idle and I took a temp gun to the exhaust ports on the head.

Does that sound about right I had just come off about a 10 mile ride. I pulled in the drive and opened the hood and checked them. How much fluctuation in temp is too much.

#1 is a little low, but there's better cooling at the front of the head. How's it idle? If it's running smooth I wouldn't worry.

It seems to run smooth but right off idle as you step on the throttle there is a little miss I think. Brandon heard it before he said it sounds like a helicopter that is the best way I can describe it.

Yea if I had a diesel compression tester. I am wondering if it is a bad injector in number 1 and maybe number 6 also.

Swap 1+ 2 injectors and see if anything changes. Simple cheap and easy.
