ebay Injectors?

Does anyone know about the injectors for first gens on ebay? There is one guy called performance pro 1 that has some from Bosch, but he doesn't know any thing about 190's or 185's. There is another guy selling custom made ones for five hundred bucks. You'll see in my sig that I'm set up for towing so I don't need PODS and if you could see my bank account, you'd see I can't do anything custom made. I actually have to do a front end rebuild so I can't afford anything, but I always like to be ready when I can. Thanks!

Interesting. I hadn't seen those $500 injectors on ebay til now. If you get them, let us know how they are! The same seller was selling some performance C series injectors and I'd like to know if they are any good.

I'd really like to know what those Bosch ones are. It was my understanding that only Piers had 190's. I couldn't find anything out on the Bosch website and I couldn't get a part number from the guy selling them. He has some up for sale about every three weeks.

He said he was going to be doing some towing. PODs are HOT injectors which would make EGTs out of control while towing.

If preformance pro1 has the same ones that I bought of ebay I wouldn't waste my time. The question you have to ask is why won't he give you the part #'s. I put the #'s of my injectors on this site and no one knew what they were. I actually got mine from Electronic Injection Services, but probably the same promise 50hp, 100ft/lbs, and an increase in mileage.

Now what I have really experienced was a slight increase in power and greated by a 3 mpg loss. I thats even babing it wherever I go. Plus I have a hase at idle like white smoke farely bad while in gear. I am currently debating buying a different set.

On the other hand, these 500 dollar injectors look promising. The guy seems to know what he is talkin about. What I would do is start a thread over on 12 performance(2nd gen) to see if anyone has tried his injectors. He said they have been popular for them. Couldn't hurt.

Stay clear away from that Performance pro 1 vendor. He's been around for a few years and over the years, for the hell of it, I've asked the seller for ANY info, part numbers etc from the sets he sells. I've never received anything back from them. This is the same for other members. I'd say they are rebuilt/tuned stockers. Big pass [thumbs down].

WOW,how do you do it? I pull 12K and I can blow right by 1200* on a hill with 3 turns on the power screw and stock injectors.I've done many a hill in second gear to keep the heat, engine, trans.,and EGT. from killing the motor.I have noticed since the weather has cooled down the EGT comes up quicker so I am guessing cooler air makes more power and more heat.

Yep, they're rebuilt stockers. Just plug that part# into Google, do a little reading and you'll soon have bgilbert's answer.

The stock injectors have 7 holes, the ones from the e bay guy have 4. I bought some a few years ago, they smoke a little cold and clear up when warm, they do deliver more fuel, I had to turn my full fuel screw out a turn then back the starwheel out 6 turns to get part throttle smoke under controll. Fuel consumption seems the same as before. Send an e mail to some of the people who bought them and see what they think.

I pulled a 7500# 5er all over north america last summer without problems. I did watch the pyro gage, but seldom had to back off due to EGT.

Before that, the PODS were installed at PDR and a PDR-rebuilt pump was put in set at 15*. Then Piers and both Marks played with the pump settings for a while till they thought they'd reached a good balance.

After those guys have set it up, I'm not touching it (until I make some major change).

I'll bet bigger loads in hot weather cause real problems with PODS, though.

Regards, DBF
