Yup, most likely opening. I get 40 psi with the gate tack welded shut, although i will be going to a spring gate sometime this summer.

 

Are you still on your stock HG? Stock head bolt torque?

 

Yes, i do have new head bolts to put in but may just go ahead and do studs when i install the compounds. I think my stock timing is what is saving me so far with the HG, i do have the M&H spacer though.

I looked it up and i was 28psi with stock pump and it went up to 30 with the denny t pin.

I rarely see 40psi though, Only if towing hard up a hill. Normal would be 20-35 while towing up most hills.

I have my fuel screw turned in 1.5-2 turns i think. I set it so i can pull my 9000# camper up a good hill, 4th gear, pedal on floor and not go over 1250F.

 

Diesel auto power has 5x12 and 5x13 for the same price. $425. I can always turn down the 13's if they are too smokey. The 14's jump to $475

 

Ha. 1250 is what I'm running empty on flat ground WOT. Wastegate here I come!!

 

38 psi with gate wired shut. LOVE the way this thing sounds! Thanks everybody for all the help.
