Dual 31 Group Batteries w/ Cooler Tubz?
Dual 31 Group Batteries w/ Cooler Tubz?
Any one have any pictures of a dual 31 group battery setup with cooler tubs,
I am finding that the intercooler tube is in the way of the corner of the battery to be able to put them side by side, anyone have any suggestions/ideas?
Thanks,
Eric

I used 2 Exide NASCAR Extreme 78DT-108s - 40 month unconditional and 78 month prorated batteries. I am also running Tims cooler tubz. The setup works great and the batteries give me 1540 CCAs for starting. When I ran the battery physical size this was the best fit I could come up with to go with the tubz.

On the wife's truck, I have been contemplating either stacking the two GROUP-31s in the original location, except re-working the current tray such that it is easily removable to get at the lower battery, or possibly re-locating the windshield-washer jug and building a tray in that location.
Back in the day, I have seen these trucks that came factory-new with two GROUP-31s; but I can't recall just how they were laid out.
I drove one regularly on long hauls that came with dual batteries.
On the son's truck, I am building two battery boxes in the big heavy front bumper.
On my Ford, I have one under the hood and two more in a tray mounted along the frame.
I am working toward getting GROUP-31s in every one of our seven trucks; life is so much easier when everything shares common stuff.

Got it done,
Dropped the original tray about an inch, and added a second tray to it, just bolted them together, then welded up the bracket to hold everything,
Two group 31's run parallel to the grille, negatives towards the fender,
Military Terminals,
Now i just need to get pics and some cables made
