DTR First Gen Members list
DTR First Gen Members list
Alright not sure if this has come up or not, but i was thinking this morning that a members list for the first gen group. My thoughts on the list would have:
1. screen name
2. Actual name
3. City and state
4. Phone number if you choose to do so.
Here's why i was thinking about this.....If so and so goes on a road trip in their first gen and breaks down near another member they would be able to call some one up and see if they would\could lend a hand to help them get their truck going again. I know most would be more than willing to help if free to do so, I know i would. Or i guess if a fellow member wanted to meet up with another one sometime you have their contact. If you think this is a good idea pm me your information and i'll try and get a spread sheet together and then post it, I also find it interesting who lives where that owns first gens.

Please don't call me if your phone number is from the states, it's something like $3 a minute, but I do have unlimited texting in North America.

Just a thought from a "newbie"
Another truck forum I belong to (87,000 members) keeps an emergency contacts list.
The way it works; there's a sub-forum named Emergency Contact List (catchy name, huh?) Everyone who wants to participate posts their contact info in that thread, which is only visible to the Admins of the forum. Then when someone is planning a trip they ask for the phone number which connects to one of four Admins. If they have problems along the way, they call the number and the Admin looks through the list to find the closest member. The list that the Admin has includes lots of info about what each member has available; tools, trailer, lodging, etc. That way everyone doesn't have to post their phone number online and open themselves up to spammers.
