Door trim

The carpet in my pickup doesnt wuite reach the door seal on the floor of my pickup. I'm assuming these things had a trim piece at the edge of the door? If they did what did they look like and where can I find them?

You are missing a trim piece that fits from the groove of the rubber seal to the edge of the carpet. I will post a pic, but the internet here is really slow. I'd bet that Oliver Foster has those pieces...Mark

The problem in the Phoenix area is that most of the wrecking yards around here crush all the cars that are over 15 or so years. It is really hard to find older stuff and when you do, it is pretty well picked over...Mark

Real estate is too valuable to keep it occupied with a carcass that maybe you sell $20 of parts/year. Things are a lot different in Kansas/Oklahoma where I'm from. You can find parts for a 35 Chevy if you know where to look.

Someday I'll be back there.

Edwin

There used to be a wrecking yard named Hidden Valley, in Maricoa Az. This is a post about it that I did in 2010:

Do you mean hidden valley in Maricopa? The one with 100s of cars dating back to the beginning of the last century? If so, I have bad news, during the real estate bubble here a few years ago they sold it lock, stock and barrel in order to build houses that are now abandoned and in foreclosure. They crushed and scrapped the cars...I felt a disturbance in the force like when the death star destroyed Alderon Mark

I still feel the same way. They had rust free stuff going back to the real early 1900's, it was a shame...Mark

Well im happy to poke around if anybody needs stuff... some of the stuff is picked over pretty good but there's also a lot left... lots of stuff is 1/2 ton pickups but between them and a ramcharger or two and a couple 3/4 tons there's actually a fair bit of stuff there...

I only paid $88 for the pair from Mopar parts Canada and that was this year . If you Google the part number , it's even available thru Walmart online for around $44 a piece .

Thanks,I don't need them. I just googled the part number and that was the first price that came up. I would only pay that amount if they were made of gold and a date with Beyonce came along with it. ...Mark
