Door sills

Wondering about the door sills .Looking at LMC and they list inner and outer.None of my first gens had the outer don’t even c any holes all 3 were LE were they on older Dodges or mine just didn’t have them for some reason I had a new one back in 1990 but don’t remember if it had the outer .

On mine the outer is just an aluminum plate to protect the paint. It doesn't hold any carpet or anything.

Ok mine didn’t have any on it at all .I was going to order the outside one anyway for the protection or make one I guess mine if it had one was gone for some reason.I was just wondering didn’t know if all the trucks had them or not thanks
