I think that is only a two speed pump. Not a variable, like would be needed for a vehicle. I'm no expert by an means, but I'd wanna know for sure!

When an Ebay seller tells you not to use the pump on your truck, that ought to tell you something.

Like vzdude said, the governor is unsuitable for our use.

That pump has a min/max governor in it. Not technically a 2 speed. It very much like a P-pump governor on the later trucks, once your off idle and below the max rpm setting the throttle position and fuel collar are more tied together than the governor in our trucks.

The head is 10mm and the rotation is correct for our engine. You could make it fit, but why short yourself like that.

I wouldn't say the governor is unsuitable, I would say the 10mm pumping element might not be enough. On that note, I saw another ebay VE I was watching sell for something ridiculous like $600. The pictures of the pump weren't even close for a 6B application, it was mounted on the other side and had a different main case. I has asked for numbers and when I decoded it I found the rotation was opposite of what was needed, etc... Whether I should or shouldn't have I sent the buyer a message explaining that to him.

I have a thought, that pump is for an Onan L634T otherwise known as a Cummins 6AT.

Here's a good site for looking up the application for bosch VE pumps. http://www.vepump.cn/CZB.htm

I know the 3.8L volvo penta marine diesel uses the same bosch ve pump. they are rated at 230hp@3800rpms though. I have one that was rebuilt and has a couple hours on it in my garage for parts.

What are the numbers on it? It might not even be the right pump case or rotation.

I doubt it, I'm sure BD is just setting up the normal pump with higher fuel rates via the full power screw.
