I was just wondering what you guys you for the water/meth coolant. A friend of mine with a AWS Turbo Talon sugested using cheap "blue" windshield washer fluid because is is darn near a 50/50 percent mixture. What do you think?

There are two different kinds of cheap blue windshield washer fluid, the summer and the winter. You need the winter kind that doesn't freeze, and I think its only 20% meth. The yellow bottles of heet fuel line antifreeze is 99% meth.

I'm going to try the washer fluid-and may even dilute even more with water-as I'm looking for mainly cooling and not an increase in power!

It's a common practice to use the washer fluid, im not worried about the dye as much as i would be the soap, some have little soap just shake it and see how much it suds up.

BTW i posted some pics of my inj system, its off the truck at the moment because of repaint, i had to replace the left fender

You can see the entire system except for the electronics, the braided steel line is the high pressure and the nozzle is attatched. The blue silicone hose is the low pressure from the tank. The tank i chose is a diesel fuel tank off of a Kubota, it holds 2 gallons, the reason i picked that tank is its steel not plastic and it has a built in replacible filter in the bottom which you can't see.

I hope this helps, it's a bit easier to visualize the end result when you can see it.

The cheap blue stuff is 20-25% meth. You can find pink or yellow stuff that's 40% but you'll pay a lot for it. I ran a tank of blue through mine as an experiment and it worked OK. If you can't get straight methanol for under $4 a gallon, WW fluid is the way to go.

Hey Dave and Loch-I'm still in a question mode-as to what size of orifice I need-the guy from coolingmist said I need at least 10gph-boy that seems like a lot of juice! The orifice he sent was a 4.9gph and the drill orifice size is .022. What size are you guys running-thanks in advance as always!

another question . would it be ok to jsut shoot one little amount of water high boost instead of going from low amount of water at low boost tohight water, high boost. i was thinking that b/c i dont want much power just a little cooling and i dont want to use it all of the time. so basicly i just want to add a little amount of water at hight boost for little cooling and little power. would it work??

ihpower thats how mine works, at 9 lbs boost it comes on and stays on till boost drops, i can control it as well but i see no real advantage to doing so. As i said in pm 4.9 is a lot of water, id try that one and see if it bogs, if it does go smaller if it doesnt can go bigger.

You want to use as much water as the engine will accept. Set the system to start up around 2/3 of your max boost and increase the injection pressure (adds more water/meth) until the engine bogs, then back off a little.

You think? haha, just trying to give you a hard time.

So should I go with two 3.9gph injectors, in an attempt to duplicate Snows setup? Or smaller injectors? Would there be any benefit to using one large injector?

One more thing, does anyone have a source for the push-lock fittings and line, like the stuff that comes in the snow kit?

Thanks
