disc brake conversion on dana 70?
i was looking through the sticky and saw a disk brake conversion for a dana 60 rear axle..i know my truck has a dana 70 so is there a kit for doing the conversion and if so is it worth the time?
I would say if your rear breaks are worn pretty good then I would definatly upgrade.. Get the brackets on ebay for like 75 bucks and the rest of the parts at the local auto parts.. I have around 300 bucks in mine.. definatly worth it.. I also by passed the Abs junk to..
hey i was browsing the sticky again and this is what i found....

I purchased the tsm kit, same as the egr I believe and I like the brackets a lot better than the cheaper ebay or greatlakes brackets. I am going to install a micobrake hydraulic brake lock and do away with the parking brake cables. The tsm kit is about 350 shipped. I'm about halfway through the install so that's all I can tell for now.
I should have stated that I did not purchase the calipers or flexible hoses with my kit but did get the rotors, which needed the lug holes opened up, and the lugs whittled down to fit the recess in the rotor. They sell appropriate lugs for $50 I think.
