Differantial prob

Differential seems to be locked so both wheels spin the same direction after a little power brake action? Any ideas what i broke ?

If its an open diff then the spiders are binding. If its a posi the clutches may be worn out letting it bind. Either way pull the cover.

Found the problem very little oil in the rear end, so the spider gears sized up on the pin Needless to say we had to do alot of heat and hammer action to get the thing apart.. What are the specs, and good source for bearings, and spider gears and a new pin that holds them into place ? I dont even know if i can count all the splines to see how many are on the axles, with my eyes being not so great

Specs? not sure. As far as parts. You have the N/A 3.07 rear ratio. I know that the ring and pinion is no longer available. You might luck out with dodge on a new carrier that is a posi unit. A couple years ago they had a few left in the system. Its a lousy thing with the parts being discontinued. The pin and spiders in your rear may be the same as the later 3.54 and 4.10 rears. Someone else will have to confirm that. I do know there are 2 different spline counts.

I ordered a set from Randy's ring and pinion today, and the carrier bearings locally
