Denny T pin gone bad

My Denny-T pin failed me.
Not that long ago I noticed excessive smoke out the tailpipe and a severe loss in fuel mileage. Long story short; after having to take the entire top of my pump off and pressing the shaft out to remove the pin, I found this. Does anyone know if Denny T holds lifetime warranties on these or anything? I thought there was when I bought it several years ago.

No idea, but I'm running an aftermarket pin. I'm now going to pull it and inspect for wear.

Thank you for posting this.

When I bought this pin, it was when he only offered one style and he was a small company. About the same time, there was a bad batch of metal and a lot of them were recalled. I didn’t think mine was in that batch but looking at it now, I think it was.

When all the talk was happening way back when about "soft" aftermarket pins, I made it an inspection item every 5,000 miles. Clean, inspect, regrease.
