I think the lesson here is there are many things to check and fix - which compounds/complicates diagnosis.

True, true. Replaced and repaired a lot of stuff on my 91.5 and never fixed the problem, until I did the brakes. Diagnosis is the critical part, determining the actual problem is a bear on these trucks.

You jinxed me!

I was starting to feel a "wobble" in the steering when turning right and going uphill while accelerating. Felt like a slipped belt.

Tuesday I turned right onto a highway and accelerated and the whole front end went into a wobble. I pulled over expecting to see a wheel hanging off but all was well. I did find a worn tie rod end which I've now replaced. It has done that a couple times since. I've jacked up the front end and can't find anything loose or off kilter...

Replace any parts with obvious/generous play in them, and make sure you have at least 5° caster. (Stock/factory spec is not enough.)

I always run a basic single stabilizer on kingpin D60s. The one for Dodge D44's fits ok if you finesse the mounting ubolts a little bit for the 1/8" fatter axle tube.
