DDP 40hp injectors any good?

Hey guys,

Did a little research after an impulse buy on DDP 40hp injectors (DDPIII I think). Seems like no one talks about them much. Should I call them first thing in the AM and upgrade to the 80hp set up? Right now I'm running stock turbo at about 20psi with the fuel screw all the way in and pin rotated to steep side. Not too too much smoke now, but I really don't want a ton, just power. Lots of my power loss is in the tranny, but that's a seperate discussion and the next project.

What do you guys thing about these 40hp injectors? What could I see for power approx. with the screw cranked in like it is (Thinking about adding a gob of weld on the end if needed on the screw).

Lemme know what you guys think. 300hp would be sweet, I know I'll have to upgrade turbo eventually too.

Thanks guys

eh, already bought them, I think they'd be pretty ****** if I asked them to cancel. They were about $50 cheaper than DDP's website.

I was originally going to go with the 40 hp sticks, but decided to man up the extra $200 and go with the DDP4's instead.

Crap! Hopefully they havn't shipped them yet! They "highly suggested" turbo upgrades, which I don't have yet. I'll call them ASAP and see if I can switch it over. Keep any suggestions coming in. Anyone know of what kind of power will be coming with each?

Bob Beauchaine laid almost 400HP with his ddp3's.

I'd go for the ddp4's though.

Oh well, already shipped yesterday. I bet I'll still love them 10x better than the stock, 200k injectors in there now.Glad to hear you can get above 300hp with them, let alone someone was pushing 400hp.

What does Bob have for a set up in his rig?

I love mine! I think the injectors are the "camshaft" of the Diesel world. What I mean is, almost everyone who hops up a gasser puts in too much camshaft. Bigger is better, you know! ARH! ARH! (think Tim Allen) I only tow with mine, and the injectors I had were unknown, so I stayed conservative.

You will love the DDP3's. They are a very efficient injector and will make good power. Anything is better than those stockers though. I know you will love the new injectors, I'm still waiting to put my marine 370's in...

Glad to hear it. I figured I would be pretty happy with stock new injectors, so I'm sure these ones will be awesome.

Can't wait til I can afford the tranny rebuild with a good TC. Then I'll really notice I think. Even as crappy as the tranny is, I can still do posi dually donuts!

DDP should still offer the 30 day deal. If you don't like them, send them back and they'll open them up more. That's what I did on my 4's, and a nice improvement over regular 4's.
