I don't recall actually. It was just a can I had among others. I remember it was a "silver aluminum" color and I thought it might look good so I gave it a try. Might have been Rust-o-leum.

My brother in law is an excellent machinist, I will ask him if he could make me a CNC'd billet dash for my truck, I think that would be neat.

Unless I hit my face on it.

I always thought diamond plate would look cool, but I was always afraid of it glaring and blinding me. I build my dash pod out of diamond plate that you can see in the last two pics and I painted everything but the front part flat black cuz it would glare off the windshield.

it is... well in a way. It is a cable hooked up to the manual kill lever on the side of the pump. When you turn the full power screw up on the pump increasing the pressure it can blow the Fuel shut off solenoid plunger and the truck will not shut off with the key. I rigged that up and it shut the truck down. I have since fixed the solenoid and so the cable is still there in case of emergencies or if it ever happens again.

Very nice work. The black is a lot nicer than wood. The orange accent ties the extra gauges in with the factory cluster really well.
