dash lights

My problem is that when I go to turn my display lights on(speedo, radio, and all the others) they don't get brighter. I've been driving in the dark for the last few days. headlights and cab lights works, just replaced the headlight switch. would this be the dimmer switch? or is the dimmer switch part of the headlight switch? Thanks

the dimmer switch on my 89 is built in to the headlight switch. Have you tried turning the **** on the switch any? I think you turn it clockwise for the dash lights to get brighter.

You should have 12+ on purple, orange, and yellow. I just tied the orange and purple to a switched 12v sorce and ran the yellow into my running lights.

ok, When i was installing mine i noticed that the front of the guage can turn and mess the button up. Luckily mine came right back. You might also trying to see if the button is twisted and spin the face of the guage back around.
