Dad has me at it again!

Well I just finished off a auto to nv4500 on one of my dads trucks. Last week my rear end came apart on my RC. So I took a weeks vac to get it swapped out. Well after looking all day Mon in MD,WV, and PA I decided to just call a couple buddies and have them ask around for a 1991-93 Dana 9.25 rear end. So today I asked dad what he wanted to do and he had me strip off a rusty cab on his 93 W250. He purchased two cabs from a nice gentleman in NJ a month ago. I had never done this before and found out it just takes patiance. It didnt help that it was raining all day. Anyways, we have been putting together everything to make this truck a nice rust free dually. I have it down to bare frame. Thanks, Robert

This is a truck that I hope to have on the road in a year or two! It has just over 100k on it, this will be a perfect canidate for a nv4500! Its a factory 5spd truck.

I'll bet that conversion would go a bit easier without the cab sitting on the frame.

You guys have no idea! I told he had me into mopars. We have 2 Cuda's and 2 Challangers. Flat fender power wagons, he got a couple along with 1 M37. He has 4 first gen diesels and 1 D150. All the storage containers are filled with parts! He has a lot to , I mean I have a lot to work on. The one 56 pickup in the last pic is an original Hemi V8 truck. How many people have seen one of those?
Nut the Cuda in the pic is a factory 1974 318 auto car, but the gentleman I bought it from transplanted a 340,4spd combo out of a rearended 1970 TA Challanger. The other Cuda is a 1970 Gran Coupe that has been converted (ruined) to a ex-NC drag car. It has a nonrunning 1973 440 and 727. The interior is trash. The car once was prestine, now has **** carpet in it. Im not kidding.

You have no idea! My parents bought a brand new 1992 W250 off the showroom floor in Chambersburg PA. It was a LE reg cab, auto. I have no idea why my parents didnt order a Club cab. They did go to several dealers when looking and to this day they swear they never saw one cc. I hear it all the time from my mom that dealers only had 1 maybe 2 trucks on the lot. You either bought what was there or ordered one. Not like today where there is one of every color and model. Anyways, fast forward a couple yrs and my dad and I start buying/driving all over the rust belt buying mopars and then I bought the first club cab. My dad fell in love with it. He went out and bought 3. I technically only have 2. My parents are horders, but the stuff is so cool I cant seem to find the time to have an intervention. It just sucks cause some idiot in charge of the county doesnt like us! You know what that means. I have chased that cowardly SOB into his office and had the state police called on me. We work for a living, he worked from the time he was 15 and started with my mom when they had absolutly nothing. To have some pencil pusher tell you that you cant do what you want on your own property was enough to drive me over the edge! And I am laid back

I guess i'm just jealous, because i would love to have an ex-cab(4x4 ex cab!). My truck runs SOO well though, its hard to argue with!!

I know exactly what you are talking about(with the pencil pushers), i hate how people so disconnected from the world make all the rules and call people out on the littlest, most minuscule things just because they are unhappy or can't understand what it is *your doing "so you must be up to something!"

Update, Well it turns out that Energy Suspension kit # 5.4101R (if you want red) will work for our trucks. I got the new cab on today. The sad thing is thats the easy part. For some reason some idiot went crazy with a hammer and a pair of dykes! So a new dash and harness is going in soon. I have never seen one this bad. Will update.
