Cummins ATE the A/C Compressor

Going to Charlotte Monday, a different rattle eminated from under the hood. The AC compressor ate itself. Quick detour to the parts store and 1 non-ac belt later I was back on the road.

Who makes a quality replacement?

Best price I found on a compressor for my '89 was from Advance Auto Parts. It is from their website. They have one for your truck for 238. Ain't cheap but most places want 300 to 400 for our trucks.

Ahh, another AC compressor sacrificed to the God of Torque.

Just leave it off, you go faster without it.
