Hate to bring this back from the dead, but did you ever end up getting to the bottom of this?

mine quit also but what went wrong is the cable wont stay adjusted it just pull by the locking clip so I just put a 1/4" split shaft collar on the cable. you cant buy a new cable from Dodge and the collar is under $5 Ken
